Maternity Session in Central Phoenix

This is Kari and she is expecting a little girl in about a week and a half! You wouldn’t believe its that close with her little dainty belly bump. You also probably wouldn’t believe these photos were all taken in the Camelback Corridor because we were able to find some beautiful and unique spots right in the middle of the city. Here’s a taste from our photo shoot.

Kari’s baby nursery theme is farm animals, so I desired to capture an “on the farm feel,” I used some textures to give these photos that vintage farm feel.

This last one is my favorite! It really captures the femininity of pregnancy. Kari appears so relaxed at these final stages of her pregnancy, I dragged her all around town for these photos and she is still filled with so much energy. This sweet belly bump signifies unconditional love in my eyes.

The Skinny on Spring Specials

As I’ve advertised before, if you buy a full photography sitting and order greeting cards/invites/announcements through me, you recieve 30% of the price of the sitting.

Here is another incentive!

As I mentioned lisa d. photography is going green, as in eco-friendly! If you order your greeting cards/invites/announcements from me through Paper Culture, they will plant a tree in your newborn’s honor from now until April 30th. This is in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, and all of Paper Culture’s cards use 100% post consumer recycled paper, your cards never result in cutting down new trees.

You can read more about what this company is doing to be environmentally friendly on the business wire
Or click the link on the right!!

Photo Girl Gone Crafty

I’m finding there is a major market out there for handmade items. With the economy in the state that its in; supporting local, going green, using sustainable resources, and bartering are really important, necessary, and *HIP* long-term trends to support.

On my journey to get my photography business up and running, I have been inspired to create newness in my life by experimenting with creative visions. This is my new crafty craft, I’d love the feedback! Should they go in my etsy store? Would you buy one? I’m thinking of renting a tent at the Public Market downtown. I’d like some variety (after all it is the spice of life). I’m thinking I could even incorporate my photography into this craft…

It’s still drying 🙂

It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Currently I am taking classes on-line, teaching classes on-line, working my regular teaching day job, and trying to make my photography business flourish. To say the very least I’ve been low on fun lately. However, it’s such a beautiful day outside today I was able to break away for a few photo shots of the blooming flowers. I’m also trying to be a little more daring with Photoshop Elements. What do you think of my progress?
